I had my first travel "disaster" with a cake this past weekend, and I was delivering a very large and heavy wedding cake. For some reason, my brain didn't remind me to "glue" the bottom layer cake board to the cake drum. The cake slid right off the drum and was sitting cockeyed in the cargo area of my Explorer.
As for the construction damage, there was none. My brain did tell me to use extra reinforcements in this cake. It had both PVC & dowel rods in it. I did this…Continue

Being new to the cake decorating community, I'm sure I'm just a bit over zealous, but I can't help it. I can hardly wait to get my hands in the middle of another project. I have several upcoming projects, but nothing for the next two weeks, so I decided to do some "organizing" of these upcoming events.
