I wonder, Sandy, if they meant to use the piping gel to hold the fondant? You can use just plain old water too.

yes, they say piping gel on the styrofoam to make the fondant grab, as well as create a smoother surface to work on, so you dont get that weird bumpy texture the foam has.

Sandy I will get that recipe to you today if possible. I have been so busy that I haven't had the time to get it sent over. I wanted to type it out into step by step instructions for you (I just do it out of memory lol). Sorry for the delay. Right now going to work on a couple 9 x 13's for a church in my area that is having a pot luck tomorrow.

Carol would you mind sharing the steps with the group? If don't mind and when you get a chance :).

Just you just LOVE when they keep changing there minds????  I was at my sis-in-laws for a jewellery party last night. Her son, my nephew, is getting married this May. I was asked to make a small cake to cut as bride was making cupcakes. She needed 150 & I warned her how much work it was to make & transport. And she being the bride, it would stressful. Well cupcakes are out...surprise...surprise. So my 1st thought was...am I now making a BIGGER cake, & they didn't tell me???? Fortunately, no. But I wanted to make her flowers out of gumpaste for the top if I can, but bride is going to a "flower warehouse", and is going to get what ever is cheap?????  SOoooo decided I will either make an assortment???...or just roses. Thank goodness I have a free hand with the design.

It was a beach theme wedding and I had already bought a few things for it, buy that's ok because my co-workers said they will eat any cakes that I want to make for practice. I try to make a new one at least once a month but they would like them more often, I made one with a special ingredient and they loved it but thought I was a little crazy for putting in the special ingredient. I made another one and they asked what special ingredient I had in it this time.

tomato soup

I still have my Mom's tomato soup recipe. It is one of our fav's. SOooo easy to make, and so good. Do you put raisins in yours? Sometimes I do, but my son can't have them, so usually I shred either zucchini or carrot instead.
