I have seen on The cake Boss show he blows dries it. Good Luck.

THANKS PATRICIA, YEAH I WILL GIVE THAT A TRY

I heard that brushing it with a good quality vodka works too.

Eek! No! He's not blow drying it, he's steaming it! LOL!  You can use either the steam from a kettle, or a garment steamer.  I bought an inexpensive garment steamer and use that for cakes all the time.  Good luck!

If you don't have a steamer you can try wiping on a bit of shortening. Just a little goes a long way. I hope this helps.

Steaming is your best bet.  The more you steam the shinier it will be.  Just be careful not to over do it and melt it.  Try a bit at a time, let it dry, and if it needs more give it another shot.  Shortening will work as well, but it tends to streak and can be hard to get the overall look you're going for.  Steam first.  You can always touch up with shortening later.  Good luck to you with your project!

Definitely use the steamer, I use it all the time with great results.

THANKS TO EVERYBODY I REALLY APPRECIATE IT, EVERYONE IS SO HELPFUL!!!!!

Sorry I said blow dry I did mean to say steam it. I do know better so dont know why I even said that..

LOL Patricia - no worries. :)  I just found it kind of funny.  I had visions of poor Teresa trying to get her fondant shiny with a blow dryer. :)

I think you can steam it for a few seconds.Hope this helps you.

yeah patricia i knew you meant steam instead of blowdrying:)
