INGREDIENTS for pastry
240gm purpose flour
1/2 cup plain yogurt
1 teaspoon baking powder
2 egg yolks
1/2 teaspoon active dry yeast
5 tablespoons warm water
1 teaspoon sugar
1/8 teaspoon salt
Ingredients for filling
1 cup walnut or almond or pistachio as you like
1 teaspoon ground cardamom. If there is not you can use cinnamon
2 tablespoons honey
Mix all filling ingredients together
Stir dry yeast with 1 teaspoon sugar and warm water, let to rest and rise for 5 min.
In a large bowl beat yogurt and yolks and butter until well blended.Then add flour , BP and rested dry yeast and salt. Knead well with the hand. If dough is sticky add flour until a soft dough forms. Keep dough in a plastic wrap and let stand for 1hour to let rest.
. Roll half of dough on lightly floured surface and Roll dough out to1mm thickness. .cut it into circles with a cookie cutter .place as a small of filling in the middle and turn out like rose which I show you on photo with fondant and you have to put in the circle, filling mixed instead of fondant which I put it.for moist and stick the petals edge use white egg with brush.
