Thank you, Dianna.  Just a few feathers (on the inside of the wings) and a little color touch up and I will be through with the macaws, except the perch and feet.  I am running out of steam.

Gail, I tried to attach to this correspondence a photo of the unfinished wing, but it didn't work.  It posted with the other photos.  You can see the wire frame and gum paste covering.

You are great at everything, so if you want to make macaws or parrots, go for it!  We have an art print that shows two blue and gold macaws in a tree and it inspired me to make these.  Don't know exactly why I changed to scarlet???

I am loving this so much ! it is a winner , ! work of art ! I have been dying to do 1 , forever , I purchased paper plates with them on last yr , but I never got to make it , , the wing span is the upmost incredible bye far ITS A WOWWYYYY  !
