Here you can see a little bit of the wing structure - outlined with wire and covered with a thin layer of gum paste.

anything that works ! I used chop sticks for my corps bride and groom, and Steven Tyler ,1 stick to hold the figure together and make it stand ! I stick it in (styro foam) and build on it , works real good
You are very welcome, Bonnie! I did thank Mike for his duck tape suggestion :o)
Thanks guys!
So I can use anything that I have on hand, Gail?? Be careful what you ask for! lol
And Sandra, First, thank your Mike for the suggestion. And I did build a backdrop net, using pvc for the frame, once upon a time..., hmmm, and as poles for the badmitten set!
And I have a home made pvc frame at the foot of my bed, stuck under the mattress for support, holding the blanket up off of my toes! Can't stand any pressure on my poor little toes! I usually keep them stuck out over the side of the bed anyway, where nothing touches them. I keep the fan on high year round to keep them cool! Helps combat the hot flashes during the night. Doc said I would be having them for the rest of my life... lol
BONNIE ! PVC PIPE WORKS FOR LOTS OF CRAZY CAKES , Use any thing your have to create with ! I made a big monkey ape with it also ,
Mike said not to forget the duck tape :o) He was, of course, kidding.
Hey, Bonnie, I use PVC pipe, too and I have used it for plumbing as well. It's good stuff!
Goreti, what do you use? And don't come up with any thing exotic please??
You guys are playing with a loaded deck! I have never used a frame of any kind, would not know where to start. You, Gail, use pvc pipe, which I have plumbed 2 houses with, but have never tried anything else with it! And you, Sandra, use wire, which I have never used for this purpose. I gotta get back on youtube to catch up!! lol
ok now I see the wings !beautiful job
Thank you, Goreti! I included his shot to show how the wings are framed.
