Cake Decorating Community - Cakes We Bake

Used some leftover fondant... hence the orange colour......to make a practice pair of baby croc sandals for my daughter's baby shower cake. There certainly not perfect, but glad I did a trial run. Had to add a extra piece of fondant at the front of the shoe as top & bottom didn't quite fit. Could have been shrinkinge when drying?? It took 3 wks for all the parts to dry. We had a heat spell, and when it cooled yesterday..... Wa La... finally could put them together. The crocs will be the appropriate colour.... pink or blue.... when I know which my daughter is having.

Thanks Mandy, Carmen & Gail
Yes Mandy..... 3 weeks!!!! Gail basically has the same weather as me, so she also experienced that heat wave. Then we had a mid to moderate weather week... Now.. Omg... It's like fall... Unreal. At least the shower will be in Oct... So no worries about excessive heat or droopy icing.... :o)
