Great! You're just the sort of person we want there. I'll get you added.
Nice to see you back for a bit - I know how busy you get. Would you be interested in joining a closed group on Facebook? It's called Cakers United and I am one of the Admins for it. It's a nice group and some very helpful people there and some great cakes. I know you would be very welcome there!
And I, like Betty, don't comment one every picture, just when I can't help myself, but I do look at them. Saves us both a lot of time, and typing!!! lol
It is my hobby too! But I don't have the exposure you apparently have, so only family ask me to do their cakes. I have only been doing them about 2 yrs. now, and am having a ball. I like to try everything I see at least once, even if it is only on the side of a cake tin, just to see what it would look like if 'I' did it! lol Then I am content, and move on to the next one. I don't have to please anyone but me. My first bit of string work was done with BC frosting, and on the side of the container! And it worked! lol Just recently, I made a batch of RI to do some cookies, and tried the string work again, just to see how I would do. I am not used to doing anything slow, so, even though it worked, it LOOKS like crap, both the technique & the results. lol But it is mine, so who cares, I AM HAVING FUN!! I think I just might post it, to give everyone a much needed laugh! {:o))
Mandy, quite a collection of cakes & cc's. I didn't comment on all but looked at every one. Love your little critters, and your cake designs. So beautiful.
YVW , Mandy ; ) , I have been buzzy moving , from 2 place's to 1 , so its taking us some time to get our new place ready for all we need to put in there or trash ! and the snow , holding us back , due to the cold weather its frozen now !, your works are so beautiful , love seeing them , have been missing lots of the works in the last few wks, soon i'll be back ; )
You're welcome Mandy - I think you're an awesome baker! Quite understand about lack of time, you are so busy, which is great for you. I reckon your cost on the cupcakes was just about right, considering the amount of work you put in. I recently did a few Valentines and sold them for £1.50 each - they went like hot cakes (forgive the pun) and I could have sold way more.
Just been asked to quote for a bicycle cake - considering whether to take it on or not........
Nice assortment of cupcakes and cakes, very pretty Mandy.
Mandy they're not hard to make at all I always use 1/2 fondant and 1/2 gum paste always make them a head of time so that they can sit up and harden
