Thank-you everybody! Katy, you made perfect sense, I just wish I had the corrugated separators :/ Laurie, I've used the foil pans in the past, but I've never been able to get them to stack like you said. I have some here though, might play around with those and see. I also forgot one HUGE piece of info! I have to park in a parking garage, and walk a ways, and take them to the 36th floor! Oh! Lucky me! I will have my right hand man with me of course! June, I was thinking along your lines, but I hadn't thought about freezing them, brilliant! Which won't be a problem, I have 2 upright convertible freezers!! One I currently have On a fridge setting, but that's an easy fix! Thanks for all the advice ladies!!

omg Melanie - I really don't envy you that delivery.  Can you nick a supermarket trolley from somewhere nearby and transport them in that lol! I don't know if your supermarkets do the same thing there as they do here. You can go in and ask them if they have any packing boxes that they are going to throw away and they will let you have them for nothing - might find corrugated stuff there.  I know your stores are way bigger than ours so they may not do it.

They do, Katy, but years ago when my husband worked for Coca Cola, told me when I was asking about getting me boxes, that boxes that come from the grocery store usually will have cockroaches that will find the corrugation as a great place to hide in. Of course that has been over 15 years ago or more, but he said people would be amazed at what lurks at the grocery store, and quite often, if anyone deals with cockroaches, it's because they have brought them home from using boxes. Just a thought to keep in mind...

Eeewwww! Roaches in your cupcakes??! Can you imagine what toppers those would be? Not my favorite kind of sprinkles! When I need strong boxes made to size, I go the the dollar store and get sheets of foam core board, cut to size and  glue pieces together with hot glue. Talk about strong boxes! Then I line with parchment sheets and off I go. Work like a charm every time and I can measure and make whatever size i need exactly. Good luck!

Don't know if this is a hotel? But perhaps this building might have some sort of cart like Katy mentioned to transport the cupcakes. I usually phone ahead to the venue about set up etc., so perhaps you could call and find out. Most buildings have something like this as they have to move furniture, plants, supplies etc.

It's not a hotel, honestly, I'm not sure what it is?? It's in downtown Indianapolis at a bank building, but the top floor is a reception area of some sort. I will call today and double check. I have a stainless steel cart, but with all the cupcakes, the cake, and the large stand, I'm thinking I won't be able to transport it too :/. The foam core is a great idea Joann! I love using foam board for other things, not sure why it didn't occur to me for this??

Love foam core board! If I need to stack I just make lids too, and then stack with the non-slip mats in between.

Oh my! I just looked up this place!! I almost wish I hadn't! It's a membership only venue. Voted as the number 1 place in Indy by THE KNOT!!! All the pictures show these elaborate over the top cakes, I'm taking a cupcake tower, lol! Oh boy!! Some new nerves have just arrived!! Lol
