Sorry, Melanie
Can't relate! I'm past this stage in life!! Certainly remember the early, really, early S/S mornings. But I wasn't doing cakes!! No way I could have, at least not then. Hats off to the Mom's out there that do!! Totally can understand your sleep deprecation!!
My goodness.....I need a nap!! :0)

Melanie, I'm with you, I loved working on my cakes until the wee hours, when everyone is sleeping and everything is so quiet, but me. Then when is time for me to wind down I see myself coming to CBW or Pinterest, looking at more cakes...then I can't sleep thinking that I would love to make all those pretty cakes. Needles to say, I am so sleepy right now and is only 1:00 pm. Lol

I have pulled many, many all nighters! I've actually done it so much now that I think it's getting easier?? Lol! I could've swore that June was wedding month, but I have 6 wedding cakes in the next 8 weeks!! So I'm pretty sure some more all nighters are in my near future!! :/

Well, Melanie, With 6 weddings in 8 weeks, (hopefully this is all what you do, right?) or dou have a full time job as well? because either way, the word SLEEP, will soon be forgotten ...lol
I could not take that many, I work full time, and dedicate way too many hours to help my eight grader with school work. I have two weddings in a row, (October) and I'm preparing myself for sleep deprivation during that time.

I am one of you sleep-deprived-but-look-how-pretty-my-cakes-are bakers too! Usually very, very lucky if I get 3 hours a night between Thursday and Sunday...and then I'm laaaaazy on Sundays if I am out of bed at all! We have a 12 yr. old who needs homework help aftr school and my nearly 97 year old father lives with us, so my days are busy. People think I'm crazy staying up all night with cakes but I relish the peace and quiet I have doing sometjing I love. Sleep is overrated anyway....(trying to convince myself...! ;-)

I'm a SAHM and cake decorator (artist) I have a 16 year old, 15 year old and 3 year old, all boys! Thankfully I don't work out of the home, but I'm beginning to think keeping my two oldest fed and full is becoming a full time job! I also have an assistant that comes and helps me to my grunt work, lol. I just bring her in when I get more than 4 orders per week. I couldn't do it without her though! She does everything! She cleans, bakes, baby sits, runs errands, and best of all, lives right next door! Joann, I'm the same way, totally lazy on Sundays if I'm out of bed at all!

Well Melanie - with 16 and 15 year old sons, I hope your caking brings in loadsamoney!  The appetites these boys get in teenage-hood is terrifying isn't it?  you give them enough food to feed a small African country and an hour later they're 'starving'!!!!!!!!!!!!!
