This is where our "day dream" of working together comes to be more of a wishful thing...I could have referred her to you,,,saying I know the perfect baker/decorator for this kind of cakes...oh well,,move to Central Florida...
Sandra, first off, how big does the circus cake have to be? Secondly, how about using one of your previous designs with some color changes. Here are a few that I found that might give you some inspiration for colors. I know how much you love to do Victorian designs, so if you do a google search, instead of putting Victorian, also try 'vintage' which will give you some color choices that would depict that 'old world' look. I have also included one of your own cakes that I think you could use only in the vintage circus/carnival colors. It would just require a few minor changes with different molds (Cheap ones found in the candy section of any cake decorating store-the ones used for melted chocolate) using circus animals.
I'm sure you do not need the cake to be as big as what I have included, but any one of these tiers may inspire you. Stripes made with fondant in a deeper richer red would give you that 'feel' for Victorian, and still give a feeling of circus. The cake right under your own cake (with the top hat) looks like something you could do and still seem Victorian.
Sandra, I KNOW your work....it's stunning, to say the very least! I also know that this is something that you can do with a beautiful elegant flair to it. I'll be waiting to see what you come up with. I know it's going to be spectacular!
cool i love what Linda posted , you can take all of what you see and make a beautiful cake , a Sandra style circus cake , it should be awesome ,
