Oh how wonderful for you June - I have actually asked a young friend in Canada who is coming for a visit in the next few months to please bring me a bottle of the realllllll maple syrup - we only get flavoured bumf here and according to the barefoot contessa, you have to try the real stuff at least once! Enjoy your grandson - love the name :-)

Oooh my highest was 5 tiers. Please do tell me something - do you stack them and then transport them as one or do you stack them on top of each other at the event? And when you stack them, do you spike them all together with a central dowel or with what? I am just curious - end up stacking two two two and then putting them together at event - not forgetting that this is Africa and some of the venues are in the bundus and the roads are not very good, so one has to make sure you don't "shake" the cake off its axis en route :-) BTW hullooooo all you lovely baker peeps xox
yikes Melanie! 7? Well good luck with that one kiddo! I wouldn't know where to start lol. As you say, your bridegroom is a little out of the ordinary isn't he? Guess he just wants to go one better than the other guy - bet he's very competitive!
And howdy doody to you too Mandy!
Beeeeeg grin on my face :-) Hullloooaaaa Katy Nott xoxox
