My June diary is practically full - not only weddings but novelties as well - as well as a decent order for little three legged chocolate pots (bought moulds).  Sorry dear Joann and wishing you absolute recovery - and heed the wise words of June - rest up for as long as it takes, and make use of the time to rather read up on new techniques et al that you can savour the joy of trying when you are back on your feet.  Wishing all you baker buddies well xoxox

I wish our June was filled. We have one cake per week and they are small sheet cakes only. Working full time doesn't allow me to do as many cakes as I would like. But still better than rotator gif surgery. Good litchi with that and hope you heal quick. And do what I duff, trained hubby to cover in fondant and son helps with details.

I have been unemployed since January, which makes my caking much easier as I can spend all day on a project instead of rushing home to do it after work. :) I am working on starting a business soon (actually acquiring an exsisting business and incorporating my cakes/cupcakes into it) but I've gotten a few orders to keep me busy. Huge grad cake in June, then I got a last minute order for a small 2 tier wedding cake plus 200 cupcakes for a bride whose cake person ignored her calls and emails and she didn't know what to do. Luckily for me I have done a couple of cakes for a good friend of hers who referred her to me, and I certainly wasn't going to leave her without a cake, even tho it's the same weekend as the huge grad cake! (wedding Sat and grad cake Sun). Also have a wedding in July and a wedding in August. Not much but it's new customers whom I hope will continue to do business with me. Lately I have been working on my cupcake flavors and have found 4 so far which are out of this world. Want to have as many as I can by the time I take over that business, but can always add new flavors as I go....hoping to entice people to keep coming back. :)

Ok Ladies, it may be a different cake site, but you're the ladies I want to share this with! I'm featured on CC website today! They asked me to submit a cake for their magazine. I found out a few days ago that it made it in, but today I found out I was featured on their website! I was shocked to say the least! :)
