Hi there! Happy Monday! I need some help here, I was rolling out some fondant and it kept tearing and when i would lift, it was just not holding up it's shape, what can i do or add to it so that it keeps its shape and easier to work with?

Thank you !!

The Wilton pillow pan my friend! ;-) Girl, i'm telling you, go get your coupons!!! hahahaha I have saved so much by using them!! And you can use your AC Moore or Joann coupons there too! My Michael's takes another 10% off to my 40 or 50 percent off coupons! So i've gotten stuff for 60% off! Woo hoo!!
Okay where's the coupons because I want them lol..when I went to get the supplies for my sons cake I honestly spent about 130 bucks I was like oh no never again I have to shop smarter than this
go to acmoore.com, michaels.com johanns.com sign up for your email coupons!! I never ever used coupons but then my husband showed them to me and i started using them! Oh no girl, i will buy anything without them, oh and you can sign up for them also at the stores, so you can get them double!!
Okay thanx Shari your are truly the best I'm loving this site because you all are truly helpful
Shari you dont have to get them double...just print them more than once :D

I have had those kind of results when using choco pan when it is high humidity or too hot. I only use Satin Ice so can't comment on the Duff's brand. If it is really hot I always do my fondant work either late at night or very early in the morning.
My local Supply store sells Satin Ice, it is a family run store that has been there forever, I love going there and looking around, I just spend to much money there if I am there to long. They have all the colors and flavors. I know online they always have sales on it, but the shipping would probably make it work out the same to buy it at the store.

I saw the pan in the Wilton Year book. I am so hesitant to buy shaped pans. I am scared I will use them once and only once. I have the set of rounds, I think I need to get the square set now.
I know what you mean Gretchen....you can still just carve them like they did in the "olden days" lol!

I am so bad at carving cakes ...I make a huge mess just when I want to even out the sides! Ahhh, there is so much to learn!

Gretchen - I bought a bunny face cake at Easter ...I used it once and now I'm afraid that the only time I will ever use it will be to make my family's Easter carrot cake! I also have the Wilton baby bottle cake, and have never used it yet. I just buy these things because I have no self-control when stuff is on clearance! However I do use my square and round pans (I didn't buy either set but wound up accumulating all the pans individually over time) frequently. I have the oval set and used that once too!

Karen - thank you for posting the MMF recipe... now that the weather will be getting cooler, I'd like to try my own recipe.
Jennifer you are very welcome.

I bought a monster cake pan last year because my kids wanted a cake for halloween and I didnt feel like making a sculpted cake...and I have a brain mold too...rolling eyes.....
