I've been making cakes for family & friends for many years now. The first was about 20 years ago and was a fondant iced christmas fruit cake - it all worked first time and I thought......I can do this! Up until my first child was born I worked for 17 years for a publishing company and the cakes were few and far between. I'm now a stay at home Mum to 3 children (3,5&8years) and in April 2011 started my business 'Fondant Fetish - the art of sugar'. It's just taken off! I do all my work once the children are fast asleep. My husband jokes that he's a cake widower lol.
I love this site and now find if i'm not making sugary creations of my own, i'm salivating over the gallery on CWB.
Look forward to making new friends with the same passion.
Happy caking
Tracy xx

Thanks for the friend request, Tracy, it is happily accepted. I love your work. In the comment on your cupcakes I said vintage cupcakes, but I meant cupcakes in general. They are so fun to make!
Hey Tracy, now we have Richmond Hill too in common.
Great meeting you too!! :))
Decided I would make a homemade cherry pie. Cheated tho & didn't make my own pastry....SHhh.... store bought pastry .. . (embarrassed face)
hee hee.
As soon as it comes out of the oven, we are heading out. :0)
Hi Tracy. Thanks so much for your kind compliments. To be honest, when I look at some of the amazing creations on this site (yours included), I can't help but feel completely inadequate and in total awe of people's talent. By the way, I have bought some of the stuff to make moulds with (got it at the Cake International Fair at Excel on Friday). I was totally inspired by your peacock. So now I'm on the hunt for something to copy!
Oh, and I'm in Harrow, Middlesex.
Thanks for your'e kind comments on my buttercream work...It made my night to see such a compliment.I looked at your butterflies on the water fall, beautiful. You are so talented. Thanks again.
I thought Linda Wolff REALLY did an amazing job on her Lambeth premiere... I appreciated your kind words Tracy! My "first" experimental Lambeth cake was a disaster... to say the least... Linda's was really rather great! And, of course, her fondant/gum paste flowers are ALWAYS beautiful... just like your!!!
