Hi guys:

Can you please assist me in making this flower. What is it? and what cutters do I need. How do I make the centre?

I will appreciate all help.

Regards,

Try this tutorial - http://confetticakes.blogspot.com/2009/04/anemone-flower.html

I've been meaning to try this one out but just haven't gotten around to it.

Hi Teneisha

I think its an english poppy but made in cream paste as opposed to the normal red, you should be able to find the cutters if you do a google search.

The middle is a flattened cone of black gumpaste with a circle of cotton stamens, wind the cotton around 2 fingers tie a wire in each side and the cut half way to give you 2 bunches and then brush them with either sugar glue or egg white to stiffen allow to dry and then arrange around the centre cone.

hope thats some help

regards Les

definitely an anemone
Thank you so much guys...knowing the name of the flower really helps...

I have made this flower using the petal rose cutter. See the attached pic.

There is also a video on u tube showing how to make this flower.

Thank you Judith.

I saw 2 videos on you tube last evening. They were pretty helpful and I also checked out the link posted by Deah. I think I got the hang of what I'm to do so I'm planning to do my practice run.

Thanks again everyone :)
