I usually make my own fondant, but making black is so time-consuming, and red is almost impossible. Wilton's red has that funky chemical taste nobody likes, so I don't use that unless I have to.
Can anyone recommend a brand of black and/or red fondant that doesn't taste funky? Also - if you buy the fondant in those tubs, how long does it last? Does it need to be refrigerated after you open it? I don't have a sheeter either, so I need something that is easy to knead and roll out with a rolling pin.
