Oh no, I bought these just yesterday with the intention of writing on melted chocolate tomorrow... I have not even opened the packet as yet. Do you think it will work well on melted chocolate? I have never used candy melts so not sure if it is the same as melted chocolate.

Hi Judy,

I didn't use it on melted chocolate and i thought candy melt has similar finish like chocolate.  I would be surprise if it writes well on melted chocolate.  Let's see if someone will reply!

Not sure about the wilton ones I have not used them.  I have the Americolor Writers and like them

They do work better if you let your fondant or gumpaste dry a bit before you use them.  Soft fondant or gumpaste is hard to work on.

Yep, I used the Wilton on fondant - it worked.  Haven't tried it on anything else.

now I am convinced that I should return the wilton pens... I bought just 4 (primary colours) for that same price :)

I use the Americolors and have had no issues on fondant!!

Tried the Wilton markers on chocolate that was melted and left to set... they do not work!!!!

I have used the Wilton pens on Fondant and Royal Icing with no problems at all. I just wish I could get a finer tip pen....their fine tip is not so fine for my liking.

Sharon use Americolor, the tips are fine.
