Hey all.. I was searching for caribbean balers and found this site. THANK GOD. I just started caking.. a few months now.. like 9 or so. really loving it.. despite the challenges and lack of readily available materials here in Dominca.
My question is I'm thinking about taking classes on cake decorating this summer, somewhere in the caribbean, as there arent any classes I'd want to attend here on island.
Does any one know of classes being offered anywhere.. PLEASE??

Hi Jodie,
yes, actually her name is Hassrah Mohammed. She did displays at ICES events. She is well known for her flowers. Her gumpaste flowers look so real too. She also offers cake decorating courses. You can check out her information on Facebook as well, 'Faras Cake Shoppe' (hope I have the information right)
Also, did you all check out Branka Jovanovic's work?
There will be an upcoming cake competition/event in Trinidad later this year. Trinidad & Tobago Ace of Cake Competion. Feel free to join the page as well as access the information via these link.

Duff from Charm City Cakes may be the judge. It will be so great if you guys can attend.
Duff... as in Ace of Cakes Duff?? Are you serious?? Gosh, if i could make that trip and do the training at the same time!!! That would be a dream come true!

This is really my goal and dream to come back home in Trinidad and open my own bakery and train my cousins. I want them to run the bakery there. So I can go back and fort to the US, Trinidad and Venezuela as an instructor. This is really also exciting to know that Duff is coming to Trinidad.

Alicia, it really would be nice having you back home. Good Luck in your endeavours. I am not sure if you saw my question regarding your gumapste figurine.
