Cake Decorating Community - Cakes We Bake

I'm doing a queen of hearts cake that is suppose to look exactly like the queen of hearts card. I'm looking for suggestions on how exactly to do this. Would a frozen buttercream transfer work with all of that detail? or what other options are there? I have never done a fbct before and quite frankly it frightens me lol! An edible print out would be a last resort but I am considering it.... ANY suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

YOU will never know until you try!  And if it isn't what you like, then try the edible print.  But you will always wonder if you could have done it.  I would try, what the heck you have nothing to lose but so much more to gain!

I'm a betting person and I am going to place my bet on you and the frozen buttercream transfer!  Have fun!

Your options are colorflow; FBCT; or edible print.

To be *exactly* like the 'real thing' your best bet is  an EP.

I have to be honest, this week I've been working on a cake and design for Saturday.  And when I wrote my posting above I knew I was going to make a bc transfer.  I took my own advice!

Oh my gosh, I have to say that last night I did my very first bc transfer and today I will be finishing up my cake.  My transfer has details and letter both large and small.  I thought it would be a hard project but to my amazement it was so much fun!  My husband was watching me saying it was looking great.  I did take picture of each step.  This morning I looked at it!  So hang on and be patient, I will post it today.

Thanks for all the help guys! Stampinsher I can't wait to see it :)
Stampisher, I am really looking forward to seeing the pictures. I have never done and butter cream transfer myself and you have motivated me to give it a try! Thanks!

Oh my gosh, my posting isn't here. It disappeared for some reason.  I'll just do it again, LOL.

Well, I did my very first Transfer!  To save room on the site, please go to posting -on our cake site.

Also you can go directly to my blog to get the How I did my transfer and my whole funny story that I hope will make you laugh at this link below:

You could do a less detailed frozen transfer and then "paint" in the finer details with a very thin buttercream.  I did some detail work on a baby shower with thinned frosting.  I blocked in the larger colors and then "painted" in the details with the frosting using small paint brushes.

Good Luck!

Great advice.  I will try that too.  I was following the BC Video instructions on our site at this CWB link:
