I have no experience with it but my gut feeling is no. When the ice cream softens the extra moisture will melt the fondant.

yes, I do know, commercial butter creme or any home made icing should work. Easy on the shorting. Hope that helps.

yes, I do know, commercial butter creme The company work for has a base called smooth and light add 2 pounds of water and you have the best base icing, add any flavor you want or color it works great. Or any home made icing should work. Easy on the shorting. Hope that helps.
