Elisa Strauss will judge the fashion theme cake contest entries.
Here are some of the molds from Elisa’s new collection at Marvelous Molds® alongside the incredible sugar shoes she created with them in this Craftsy class:
All items for decorating need to be made from an edible material other than a dummy as the base of the cake, if desired.
Only one entry per person, and only one photograph allowed to be submitted per person.
Your cake must have a title, a descriptive caption stating what methods were used, and what materials were used for the decorating, and the tag number fashion15.
You may not have any previous ‘favorites’ already on the photo used for the contest.
Do NOT place the tag number in the title of your cake, and Do NOT place the letter F with your tag number. This is something that the moderators do in order to ‘Feature’ your photo in the contest, and if you place this along with the tag number, it could be ‘assumed by the ‘moderators’ that your picture has already been featured and you could miss out on the contest. The letter in itself only lets the moderators know that we have done the proper steps in adding your photo, and is a clue to the other moderators that a picture has already been Featured.
Entries must be uploaded by midnight EST on September 1st. Voting ends at 11pm EST on September 6th. The top ten cakes will be determined by the number of people selecting it as their favorite with the favorite button. Winners will be announced on September 8th.
Read through all of the rules carefully. If any field has not met the criteria of the rules, your cake will not be entered into the contest. If you notice that your cake has not been featured within a few days after submission, go back and reread the rules again and make sure that you have followed the rules properly. Make any corrections needed at that time. If you are unsure of anything, add a comment onto this discussion and one of the moderators will see it and respond.
Congratulations to our winners!
1st Place: Patrice Drinkard

2nd Place:

I can't find a link to enter, can anyone help?
Do we just enter when we're done with our cakes and ready to upload the picture? Or is there a form that we need to fill out first to enter?
Ladies, the way you enter into the competition is to upload your photo per the rules in Terri's post above. Give it a title and full description. Then in the section where you have uploaded your photo, at the bottom of the screen you will see a box that says Tags. In this box please enter fashion15. We will pick up your entry from there and there will then be a featured section with all the entries in.
Please ask me if you have any issues and I'll do my best to help. Your other moderators are June Kowalczyk and Goreti Pavao.
I understand we may only upload one photo. Is it permissible for that photo to be a collage as I would like to be sure the heel, toe and side of my sugar shoe be seen?
Thank you
Yes Terry - a collage is absolutely fine. Go for it.
Hi Katy, Thanks for answering my previous question about posting a collage. I still need your help, though. When uploading my photo I didn't see a "tag" box anywhere to put the tag "fashion 15". What did I do wrong?
Terry, you haven't put your cake picture in the right place, if you have only attached it here, which is probably why you haven't seen the tag option. Go to 'My Page' , 'Cake Photos' then click on Add. When the photo uploads, you will see your options for title, description and tag (this is where you put fashion15). We will pick it up from there and feature it. Hope this helps.

Thanks so very much. I think I have it now. I haven't been on in some time and just happened to see the contest and wanted to enter. I'm caring for my mother who's diagnosed in June with terminal, aggressive brain cancer which has turned all of our lives upside down. Spending the rest of my Mother's life with her will not be enough so my mind hasn't really been on cake but most assuredly on something sweet - Mamma.
