This past Saturday was my son's 6th birthday party ...he is all about dirtbikes and motocross and he asked for a Motocross cake...
This was my first time working with fondant ( and I actually made the homemade marshmellow fondant not store bought)...
Please tell me what you think I uploaded a picture Fox Motocross Cake!!!

It looks awesome! I wish the image was a bit bigger (I'm blind! LOL)! How did you do the "dirt"? Also with fondant? Or buttercream? I was trying to figure it out. I always love looking at all the details on people's cakes. But this was your first fondant cake??? I would not of guessed it!

THe dirt is Chocolate BC..I smeared it on first the did a swirl pattern ...go to my photos and i think you should see it alot bigger....I can at least in my photos....Yes very first Fondant cake Woo Hoo!!!!! Thanks

The pic is so small it is very hard to tell what it looks like. I blew it up to 200% and still could not make out much of the detail :(
What I did see looks really good - especiallyfor a 1st :) You are well on your way to becoming a great decorator!

Oh Lisa, next time please make the picture a bit larger. From what I can see, it looks fantastic!!!! Great job! I bet your son's b-day was a huge success with lots of fun for him! I'm sure the expression of your Son's face told you just how much he loved his cake and loves YOU!
