Isomalt sticks in hot glue gun?

I just found the temp--145-150C or 293-302F

and I found the hot glue temps, too on Wikipedia:

Low-temperature glue guns operate at approximately 250 °F (121 °C) 

High-temperature guns operate at approximately 380 °F (193 °C)

 

So the answer is that it's probably too hot to use a regular glue gun for isomalt.
