Cake Decorating Community - Cakes We Bake

I have seen several cakes when looking up cakes for ideas with lettering that I call Curly Q.  Does anyone know if there is a Cricket Cartridge, cutters or molds for them.  I have had several poeple show me pictures with them and I don't have the tools or the skills to do them and I use something else a little simalar but I would so love to use them.

Thanks

Gretchen

I wonder if you mean the Funky set Gretchen?  They are tappits - take a look at this and see if it's what you are looking for - http://www.google.co.uk/products/catalog?q=funky+alphabet+tappits&a...

ignore the cost and look elsewhere as these are way to expensive.  I chose the link because it gives you a good idea of what the letters look like.  Most cake online stores have them.

Gretchen the CWB site actually have these tappit letters on sale here. On top of the main page you will see

"DailyCakeDeals.Com". Click on it and follow instructions. They are on sale for $9.99. Think there still must be some left or they still wouldn't be offered.   Check it out.

Please check with someone here before you order the funky tappits from this site.  I did order them from the daily deal and received 'script' letters instead of the 'funky'.  I did question it and the response I received on Aug. 8 was:

"I am very sorry for this mistake, we aparently used an incorrect picture for the style that we actually had in stock.  Unfortunatly, we do not have the style that was in the pic on the site.  If you would like to return the item let me know and I will send you the return instructions."

So I am surprised that the picture is still there, but I just wanted to give you a heads up so you will not be disappointed as I was.

Okay so I it looks like it is Funky instead of Curly Q.  Thanks guys I will look for them.  I did order a First Impressions mold that looks to be this same thing, but I will see when it comes in.

Thanks again.  I was really hoping for a font on the cricut.  I use that alot for my letters.

I found them on Amazon for $10.56.  I ordered those and will see which ones I like when I get my orders.  I hope I can return the mold.  Thanks again

Gretchen, before you return your mold you need to work with the tappits.  They are a bear until you get the hang of it.  Unfortunately, I use mine so seldom that I forget the tricks and struggle each time.  I think there are a few videos posted on CWB but you can find several on YouTube.  It is a common problem for all of us.  And, no matter what anyone says always use gumpaste with tappits.  Fondant just doesn't work.

Thanks I will, I hope they come in before this weekend.  I have a cake I want to use those letters for.  I will check out the videos.

Sorry about that, Susan. The products don't come to me so I was unaware that they were not as displayed.
