I hope all this is going to take is practice, practice, practice! The pro's make it look so easy. All you have to do is lay out some crisco, slap down some gum paste, feed the mat into the machine, bring the blade in a bit and 'BAM' you have a beautiful butterfly! RIGHT???
As of today I have wasted 2 sheets and I have 1 butterfly to show for it. I am going to be optimistic, after all I can't prove my husband right! He asked me last night when I wanted to toss the machine across the room "how many days do you have to send it back?" LOL LIKE YOU GET A TRIAL PERIOD!!! LOL Anyway, I have never been one to give up, I'm just going keep on keepin' on!

I wish I had the Cricut Cake machine, but I just can't justify it yet - I would only make cakes for us, they are too hard to ship for me, LOL.
I have the Cricut Expression and Baby Bug for my card crafts and once you learn you will have tons of fun. When you start collecting more and more cartridges you will know exactly what you want to use for designs as well. It just take a little time to get use to it. Then it is EASY!

Have fun and enjoy!

I'll stick to my cutters. Easy and cheap. Then I don't have to deal with licensing crap.

Food for thought (not to ruffle any feathers): I heard Kerry Vincent say that we need to preserve the art of buttercream, there's too many people out there who stuff things into a mold, pop it on a cake and call themselves a decorator.

But I digress,

If you ordered from HSN you have thirty days to send it back if it doesn't work our. I watched the presentation and they did make it look easy. I guess you have to learn the little tricks. But just remember...you do have 30 days in case it doesn't work out.

When I first started using my expression I was in the same boat.... it was a bit difficult to learn and I still hate looking through all the little books for the right piece of art work but I do love the machine.
I know some of the pros use the sheeter to make sure their gumpaste is even. That could be a problem if the gumpaste is not very even it will not cut right probably. I am kind of glad I cancelled my order... for now anyway. Hope you figure it out and start to enjoy it.

Ohhhh don't go off of what I say...I don't know if they do or not, I didn't check that out because I assumed I will be having a grand ol' time with the toy.

Are you serious that they don't have any kind of money-back guarantee? You can't send it back if you're not satisfied?? EEK! Reason #3 I probably won't get one.

Oh yah! I am walking away until Friday or maybe even Monday. I start my work week tomorrow. :(

Breathe. Take a walk around the block. Wait until you calm down. See, I'll smash a cake when I get mad, so I would just walk away and come back in a better mood. The cricut is too expensive to handle when you're mad.
