Angela, Hello this is Tamara Walker from Lexington NC I have the opportunity to have a cake decorator and sugar artist to come to North Carolina and give some classes on Blown and pulled sugar art, airbrush, topsy turvey cakes etc. Would you be interested in any of these classes possibly in May She will be coming from Florida and we are trying to decide whether she will come to Charlotte, or Greensboro which she prefers Greensboro but if we can get more participation from thr Charlotte and Concord and South Casrolina area we will be looking for a place to present these classes in that area do you think you could get back in touch with me and let me know if you have interest in your area and if you know of a place to have classes even if its in a church fellowship hall she has agreed to that because it would work well and give plenty of room If interested or not please email me and let me know how you feel about this opportunity I think it would be great I myself don't mind traveling 60-100 miles to take this class from her but I would like to get a feel for others interest,. Thanks
Thanks for all the info! I took a look at the ICES site. Definitely worth a look. I'm hesitant at the moment to join because I have so many irons in the fire as it is and my husband is getting a little overwhelmed. I will consider it in the future though.
Hey Angela! I'm in the Arbor Glen development right across from Sardis Elementary School. Where are you in Stallings? You're cakes look great! I love the cupcake flowers! Did you post those birds on cake central? They look just like some that saw on there. I was so glad to find someone on here close to me both geographically and demographically because I was wondering how much you charge for your cakes. My husband thinks I charge way too little, but I don't know how much to charge. I really need a ballpark if you wouldn't mind sharing. Thanks so much. Looking forward to chatting more soon.
Angela,
Thanks for your comment on my baby shower cake. I used tonedna's method of making gumpaste rose petals that I found on youtube. I used fondant with tylose, and as you can see, I didn't really make a rose, just a big fantasy flower.
Hi Angela,
I live inIndian Trail. I was wondering if you know much about getting licensed in your home in N.C. I was wondering if it would be worth it. I would like to have all the write offs. I did check out the website and all the requirements. I was just wondering if you new much, I have only lived in this state for alittle over a year.
Thanks,
Amy
