For my cookie on the left:
Some would say that though the glaze was faster, the RI would have shown more detail. Guess I will never know, because, in order to get better detail, you have to let it set up & harden, at least a little, between applications, which I, again, did not do... And I was using the glaze. lol I did the grid with a black food marker. BIG mistake. You could see it through the pink, so I proceeded to cover that with a green outline, again, not waiting for anything to dry. But, you know, if you stand back, just a little way, it looks OK! lol
My cookie on the right:
This is the beginning of the ruffle effect. I HAVE to wait for this to set up & dry some, or the next layer will just flatten it! So this is a work in progress, & you can see it later. ha ha
It is drying so slowly, driving me up the wall!
Guess I could blame it on the weather. It is hot & muggy, and you can just feel the water in the air. Rarely have I seen any sunshine today. The temp is 10 degrees better than yesterday, but the humidity is way worse.
I had to stay home today anyway, waiting for the pool guy to come & replace one of the interior lights on the inside of the pool.

Oooops, I just now noticed that the green line did not extend up, on the top right side! Oh...well...
There is always the next time.
beautiful ruffle ! wow !
ooooww pretty
Thanks guys! It rained so much here today, it just about filled the pool. And we had all the doors & windows open to cool off, & air the place out, for the rain was coming straight down. So I can quit wondering why my stuff was not drying out, can't I !??? lol
June, I am hoping to improve on the ruffle, first chance I get. Then I have 2 more cookies, so I can practice on 2 more designs! Ha ha! Might even try my hand at smocking!
Now stop that!! I can hear you laughing from here! :o)
very pretty
I don't see any black lines. All I see are two beautiful cookies. Both designs are lovely, I look forward to seeing the ruffle cookie completed because I thought it WAS complete :o)
