I was bought a cookie press cutter for my birthday recently and decided it was time to try it out. Tricky little rascal to get the hang of, but I can see it could be fun - provided you've got a hand like a gorilla's to keep squeezing the trigger....

Thanks Dee.  They've turned out to be a rod for my own back though.  Hubby likes them so much he has a couple with his afternoon cup of tea every day and wants more!

It's a clever little gadget alright - but quite hard work.  I might try making the dough a little softer next time, so it comes out more easily.  Thanks Luz.

They do actually have a sprinkle of caster on them, but they're so pale, it doesn't show much

btw - I was thinking a nice sugar egg wash might brighten the tops up a bit too.  Give them a nice colour and a crunchy top.
