This is my first gumpaste peony and attempt at doing this type of ruffling on the cake sides. This cake was going so wrong when I was working on it, I swore I would never make another cake again...lol. It turned out to be one of my favorites. Funny how things happen!

Lovely cake....and way to go with that peony!!!

I made my first peonies last weekend...waiting on pics of the cake from my photographer...

Thank you Linda and Goreti so much. I used Colette Peter's Peony cutters and followed the directions that came with the cutters. I bought the cutters from Global Sugar Art.

There is something so utterly charming about this cake. I just love it, the colors, the ruffles-everything!
