Third tier of Scarlet Macaws Cake. First time to paint on fondant. It is shiny because it is still wet and not as bright as it appears in photo. Will dust lightly with cornstarch when dry to enhance the aged appearance.

I don't know if I will be allowed to be present. I know what you mean, Goreti, and I doubt the judges are really "cake" people so anything can happen.
Please make sure that there is a camera handy & ready to go when the judges approach your art piece. I want to see the look on their faces. They are not going to believe that you are a beginner.
Well, I'LL BE PROUD fer ya!! lol These guys look so authentic! You are gonna blow their minds! {:o)))))))
I can't say that I am "proud", but I am satisfied with how everything has turned out so far. Thanks, again.
I KNOW WHAT YOUR SAYING , ; ) , you have to be so proud of your work , I am !
This painting, of course, is nothing like yours, Gali, but it is supposed to be an ancient Mayan mural and was not detailed to start with. When it drys, I've got to "old it up" a little more. I just used gel colors and alcohol and it was fun ;o>
awesome !
Thanks, Katy!
Outstanding Sandra! The details are mind blowing!
Thanks, Inoka. I am just doing this for fun and the experience, but I may never enter another competition. Takes up too much time :o)
