LOL Sandra ! its on a dowel , and the dowel is set into a fitting , the hard part was to sink the dowl into the fitting after the bust was covered ! next tome I'll try a different way , since I have learned so much since that ,

Still think this may be the most amazing cake I've ever seen.  WOW!  I don't even see how you keep that much modeling chocolate, cake (whatever!) up right.

after the head was made and ready for the cake . i made 2 loaf cakes for the bottom part of the bust , than a round for the upper part , cut the round in half . one for frount 1 for back . frosted , dowled it together ,  than after carving the but shape . coverd it with buttercream , than fondant , than pushed the head that was on the dowl  in to the bust . than did all the finishing touches  , hope you can understand this , . i'l try to get the back view uploaded ,

THE SAME WAY AS  I POSTED ON MY HARLEY BIKEALL OTHERS ARE MADE OF FONDANT AND GUM PASTE . I FIND ITS EASYER TO MOLD IN CHOCOLATE . WITH JUST USEING A SM AMOUNT OF RCT TO HOLD THE CHOCO- TO , AND BIULD UP THE CHOCO- TILL YOU GET UR SHAPE YOU WANT . THAN CARVE AND MOLD CARVE MOLD  . BUST IS CARROT CAKE . CAT IS RCT COVERD IN FONDANT .
