I can't believe this precious cake ever had a cake-tastrophy!  Well, I guess I can since you told me so, but it looks perfect!  You are right though.  I think cake people are the best at correcting booboos and sometimes even turning them into an asset.  For an example, look at the picture of my red hat, specifically the detail showing the bow in the back.  I usually make my own MMF, but since I wanted red and I know it's pretty hard to get a bright red color with gel colors, I used Wilton red fondant.  It does not handle nearly as well as the homemade stuff.  I was having trouble smoothing out all of the wrinkles when I realized the wrinkles actually made the fondant look more like fabric, so I left them at the back and added the bow at the bottom.  I believe it turned out better than if I had been able to smooth completely.  Of course, I didn't tell anyone if was really a mistake.  I just let them think I was brilliant :o)
