Since I have been experiencing should pain due to tendonitis, I was not planning on making a birthday cake for my daughter. Decided to give it a try at the last minute. Only did the figure last night. She loves to snowboard so this is what I decided to do after seeing a cake by Small Things Iced. Cake is chocolate mud cake, blackberry filling covered in chocolate ganache and MMF fondant. Didn't cover the board since she is having a New Year's eve party with gold & silver decorations.

Thank you Jenny. You are right about the tendonitis. Good thing I don't do this for a living.
Oh dear! Tendonitis is not a good ailment for a cake decorator to suffer. Poor you :(
Love the snowboarder though! The movement in her hair is lovely.

When hubby goes back to work, I will play with my gumpaste and give it a try.
its all in the pulling and pushing Goreti, it takes time , some time you have to redo , but you will get it , you can do it by adding and smoothing , than pushing and pulling also , wish i could show you what i am talking about , but , i think you did an awesome job like this , !and yes i did notice the ambr- hair awesome
I have a problem not only with the eyes but even with shaping the forehead, cheeks & lips. In other words, everything about the face. lol I get so annoyed cause I really want to try making it realistic and would prefer to do it without moulds. I give it about 3 tries and then gave up. Really didn't have the time since this was done on Sunday late afternoon. Maybe one of these days I will try practicing.
