Cake Decorating Community - Cakes We Bake

For the first time, I decided to make a birthday cake for myself. Let's just say it was not my biggest success. Kitchen was way to warm. Not a good idea to try the upside method of trimming the fondant to get a crisp top & neat bottom. I made a real mess of it and had to work so hard to get it to look decent. Not the best work but it is what it is.

I love those sneakers too.  Didn't even plan on buying anything when I walked into that store but I couldn't resist when I saw them.  Mind you I'm 5'6" so I really don't need the extra height especially since hubby is the same size.

Goreti!!! Those shoes are just darling little things!  I have never seen anything like them around here! Or in any local stores!  Or in a magazine!  Or even on the internet!  Hmmm...  Are you sure you didn't have them made just for your cute little feet??? lol

Girls, Girls, Girls!  You are looking at it all wrong.  Just add a size to the shoe, for comfort, then get it in wide, to be kind to your toes!  Really now, just how many guys are going to be looking at your shoes, when they have that curve to your leg to admire??? Whoopeee!

I personally never wear anything higher than 2", maybe 2 1/2" if it is for short term wearing only.  I also live in my sandals & flipflops!  I carry a pair of slippers in my car, under the front seat, just in case I ever get stopped by the law, because you are not allowed to drive in flipflops around here.  Just what will they think of next, to interfere with my personal comfort?! lol

Yes, same here Sandra....feet have gone up 1/4 sz., so have to squeeze into heels. I wear them to a special occasion....usually where sitting....then take off in the car and back on the shelf when I get home....

Yeap, those are the classiest sneakers I've ever seen!  Wish I could find a pair :o)  I am the same, Katy, on the heels.  I still wear them when we go out, but, and this sounds crazy, it makes the bottom of my feet sore because I live in flip flops since retirement and my feet have gotten really wider.

that is one cool pair of sneakers Goreti!  I'm afraid heels have gone for me too - oh how I loved to wear wild high heels...............(sigh).  I still have many of them as I can't bear to throw them out (pink, red, gold etc).  Wear them very occasionally for special occasions, but oh my how my knees hurt the next day.
