Rappelling Birthday Cake

That is exactly how it happened with me and allergies do make it worse.  It took me a long time to pin point the trigger, but it is the low pressure (abrupt high pressures will do it too but not as bad) that precedes a storm that sets me off. 

I actually used a recipe for Rum cake and substituted the Rumchata.  Since it has a cinnamon flavor, I thought the caramelized apples would be a great filling.    Funny thing about the headaches is they usual start out as sinus headaches (I think allergies are the culprit) and they just get worse & worse until it is a full blow migraine.  UGHHHH

As Buddy Valastro would say, "he'll go nuts!"

I break everything at least once :o(  The cake sounds scrumptious.  I've never heard of a Rumchata Cake before.  I'll look it up :o)

Sorry about the headache.  I had migraines for years but menopause put a stop to that.  Now I only have bad sinus headaches.  I love Excederine!  Hope you feel better quick, quick.

I hope so.  He loves my apple pie and really liked my cake last week so this is once again a Rumchata cake with the caramelized apples.  This time I just bought fondant since I was not in the mood to make it.  Bad headache all week.  The fondant was Fondarific cinnamon bun and tastes pretty good so I know they will like the flavor.  Mind you I broke the arm while putting it on the cake so had to do a little repair work.  This is going to be a surprise for him.
