Rappelling Birthday Cake

Goreti, thanks for admitting you don't like heights!  I thought I was the only one!  I will never get off the bunny slope when skiing, but I have fun just the same.  And if I go in the attic & look out a window, I get dizzy.  Once I sat up in bed, and the doorframe started whipping back & forth real hard.  I decided I had better lay back down, did it a little to hard I guess, because I ended up in the floor!  The room was whipping so much, that I got disoriented, and  threw myself in the floor, instead of in the bed. lol  I can laugh about it now...

@ Sandra, the skewers only go up to the knees since the legs are bent.

@Bonnie,  thank you.  This is how I got the idea.  He & my daughter were doing this at Red Canyon in Utah.  I don't even want to think about it.  I am afraid of height.

I would not have guessed in a million years that he had skewers in his legs.  They appear slight bent!  Good job!

I actually have two bamboo skewers on the legs and is stuck on the cake with some melted chocolate.  Also if you look closely there is some fondant underneath which helps hold him up.  Although the "rope" is stuck on his hands it is really just for show.  Easy cake to make since I didn't have to worry about getting it smooth.  lol
