Goreti, I'm sure it drives you nuts -it would me.  I've never had time for fussy eaters (except in kids of course, I was one!).  Fortunately no-one in our family is faddy and they all love my cooking.  That's nice, but does have it's drawbacks as I always seem to be the one doing the family parties.  Gets expensive!

Katy, cake sounds delicious.  I'm with your hubby about cabbage.  Love it but hubby doesn't even like the smell so no cabbage for me. Today I thought I could get away with oven fried sweet potatoes with  mayo and Sriracha dipping sauce.  Nope, made me roast some regular potatoes.  Drives me crazy.

I'm so lucky - my hubby will eat just about anything (if I've cooked it, anyway).  Won't eat celery and doesn't like rice, but that's about it.  Adores cabbage (my granddaughter thinks he's deranged lol!  Funny you saying about eggplant Goreti - we call that aubergine of course and Daisy (bless her) can't even bring herself to say the word.  She calls it the 'dreaded A word' and gags just at the thought of it!

Cake turned out well - lovely and well risen, smelled good too.  We'll see what the TasteMeister thinks of it when he has it for his lunches next week.  Filled one half with fudge sauce and vanilla butter icing and the other half with raspberry jam.  Then just sprinkled caster sugar on the top.

He has actually gotten a lot better.  He now eats kale, asparagus, brussel sprouts (baked), baked zuchini chips, and broccoli.  He now loves soup so I put in all kinds of veggies and he is fine with it.  Won't touch anything with eggplant which I love.  I've tried a few different recipes which everyone else loves but not him.
