This five tiered wedding cake was a labour of love.
The cakes were various flavors and fillings, frosted with home made vanilla buttercream and home made marshmallow fondant, stacked on glass heart shaped dishes and completed with hand made cake jewelry and trimmed with ribbon.
The bottom tier was etched in an argyle pattern with small gum paste sugar flowers accented with silver dragees.
The second tier had piped buttercream scroll work also accented with silver dragees.
A vine patterned mat was used to create an impression on the entire third tier and mini sugar flowers and fantasy flowers were added.
The fourth tier was decorated with fantasy flowers and some small sugar flowers, as well as, some piped buttercream stems.
The fifth and final tier was dotted with buttercream.
All layers were decorated with hand-made and hand-painted sugar flowers (orchids, roses, and calla lillies) made from gum paste and painted with petal dust and luster dust.
