My first wedding cake was a disaster, this one was slightly better. Slow but steady progress. Thanks for looking!

Hi Holly. No. I don't have the rings and often wonder if I should get them, but then I don't really do enough to make it worth the while. I usually put so much decoration on the cake, that I can cover the dips! Plus I use a smoother once the icing is on and that helps quite a bit. I do have a really big rolling pin, is it worth you investing on one of those? I see you have posted the discussion, so let's see what our experts say! xx Katy
Thanks Katy, will do! Do you have the rings that go on your rolling pin, that control the thickness for you? I use those, but when I need a bigger size, the rings will cut into the fondant and defeat the purpose. Anyhow, if you haven't used them, mine are by wilton and they come in a set of three or four sizes and are color coded. Hugs! ~Holly
Holly, I have trouble rolling to an even thickness, even when my rolling pin is big enough! I always seem to apply uneven pressure somehow - very annoying. You honestly can't see any thin spots from this photo. I'm sure some of our experts on this site will have a solution. Post a discussion and see what you get.
Beautiful Holly, looks really good to me
