There are flanges on the underside of the top board that the PVC pipe of his arms fit into, they T into his torso, then T out again to his legs and into flanges in the base board. Its pretty sturdy but it was top heavy, so we took it apart at the hands for transport.

How did you ever get that castle cake to balance? It looks heavier than the Superman cake.
