This is a coffee filter flower. I enjoyed making this one, and will be doing it again! I didn't get out the glue gun, just used the hand stapler and a glue stick. Got the pattern from the internet. Very easy to do.

Thanks everyone!  The coffee filters do make a lovely flower, because they are so uniformly, and nicely, ruffled already.  BUT, they make a really large flower, because the filter itself is so large!  Goreti, is there any way around this problem that you know of??

Bonnie, I don't know how it could be much better!  I think I like the coffee filter flowers better than the wafer paper.

Now this one I really love!!! It's quite a strange idea for me to create flowers from coffee filters but it looks great

I'm going to have to check that out.  One thing I did was this http://avaloncakes.com/fix-dry-cracking-wafer-paper/.  It made the paper a lot easier to work with.  My paper was way too brittle before that.

I watched a rose tutorial on YummyArts, and the rose looked real, like yours, not fake at all!  She misted the wafer paper, placed it in the mold, pressed with a sponge to imprint, lifted it out, & onto a spoon to form, just like normal!!  And it made all the difference in the world.  She was even able to curl the petal with the end of the paint brush!  It was terrific.  She also did a lily, that looked so good, even the stem was of wafer paper, misted & folded tight, then rolled to compress more between her hands.   It was Tammi Utley's video.

Thanks Goreti!  If YOU like it, then I am satisfied with it to!!  It's really not very neat, but is super easy to do, and that counts for a lot with me.  Just can't seem to take my time, and do it right, like the rest of you.  Probably because there is no one but 'me' to please.  I don't, after all, sell my stuff! lol!

If I had followed the directions, and used the glue gun, etc..., it would have looked more like the one in the tutorial!
