Thank you Mai, I also like when cakes have a briefing, it gives you ideas. "Cajeta" is a Mexican condensed milk, like caramel with milk, but very thick. If you can find condensed milk in your country you can put the can in the pressure cooker for 45 minutes. Let it set for 2 hours, then open de pressure cooker and open the can, you will see that the color is brown and the consistency is thick. In order to spread it you can put about 5 spoons in a microwave dish for 10 seconds (or so) and the consistency will be thinner. It is delicious. I made the little eggs with what was left of the carving and I added a little frosting (like 1/2 tsp) and you shape them eggs. If you make the egg, do it 3 or 4 days ahead, because when you put the fondant on you will notice the next day that the fondant has gone thicker in the base, like hanging. So use my scissors and cut the excess, I had to do that 3 times. Maybe it won´t happen to you, but here in Guatemala the weather was very hot when I made it. Don´t use a thin fondant, make it rather thick, since it is going to stretch. Hope this explanation helps you =0)
Nice one Luz specially that Egyptian Easter is coming soon; I can surprize my family! I love it that you put a briefing below each pic, I hope everyone does the same :)
Few questions, what's a "Cajeta" filling? And the little eggs, are they carved or cake crumbs kneaded with cream (or chocolate sauce)?
LOL; Sandra, that is for sure!
Your cakes are lovely Goreti, so I´m sure they do like them.
Mandy, you are right. I only make cakes for family (and close friends) but sometimes I'm not 100% sure they liked it.
You are right Mandy, no one except cake makers know as you well said, the love and the time spent in each and every cake, and we do love to hear nice comments!
It's a must do, because no one else except Co/. cake makers understand the TIME & love we put into making our creations. Sometimes I don't even no if my customer is happy because the do make a reaction !!
Thank you so much Mandy, it means a lot to me when my friends here at CWB make such nice comments.
This is lovely, such delicate petals
