Hi there!  Wanted to drop a line as to my findings!  I did use white chocolate candy melts, and the gelatin, plus the parchment paper.  The first time I did it, the gelatin was very flimsy, so I can see how you need to put it directly on the cake and not touch it... however, the second time I did it, I retraced my chocolate, so it was a bit higher of a dam... did one layer of gelatin, waited about 20 minutes and added another layer, (all with paint brushes).  The gelatin is still see-through and beautiful, the parchment paper posed absolutely no problem, and the entirety of the experiment was an enormous success.  Thank you so much for sharing!

FRISKEFILM IS A LOW TACK SOFT PEEL MASKING FILM , , SO YOU MOST LIKELY CAN USE SOMETHING LIKE A CLEAR PLASTIC THAT IS A BIT HEAVY'R THAN A ZIPE LOCK BAG  LIKE A CLEAR PLASTIC FOLDER !

I DONT THINK ITS GOOS FOR THE GEL ON PARCHMENT . JUST THE CHOCOLATE THAN TRANFER IT TO WAX FOR THE GET . SO IT DONT STICK ! OR DO IT ALL ON WAX

MY GUESS WOULD BE YES ! ALL YOU CAN DO IS GIVE IT A TRY . I WAS THINKING THE SAME THING, DUE TO WHEN THE GEL HITS THE ROYAL IT MELTS AND SPREADS A LITTLE BIT , NOT MUCH BUTR ENUFF WERE YOU HAVE TO WAIT LONG FOR DRYING ! GIVE IT A TRY IAM GOING TO TO LOL
