THAT SHOULD WORK ! CANT WAIT TO SEE IT ,
I am attemptin making a flower I saw yesterday. We were taking my MIL for a walk around the nursing home where she lived, and this house had a beautiful garden. She had these large orange flowers, they looked like a poppy, but I know they weren't. Perhaps in the same poppy family. I wish I could have knocked on the door & asked what they were. I should have taken a pic with my IPod!!! Grrr, didn't think of it at the time. Anyway, they had a lot of little stamens. I thought, hmmm, how can I create this?? So I have some black fondant in the freezer, gonna put it through a ricer, and see if it will work??
yes i can see that ,love it ! i made some gound up rice and gel colored it let it dry ! and it works the same way , i made a few colors , i dont know if its cheaper but thats how i did it , i did it to make my stamen's , and yes i like it it realy looks cool on the flowers , thinking about doing it with seasame seeds , and( unground )rice to . what you think !? i made a giant sun flower its drying ,about the size of a dinner plate . that what i remember from my garden in ny. but i wanted to make the center diffrant ,so i am trying to come up with an idea for the lg center ! nice touch to your daisys ;) i love when we think alike and invent new stuff ! keep them comming June ; )
Don't think you 2...Gail & Linda can see in this pic, it is better in the other photo, but I tried a new technique. I made my yellow daisy centres, brushed on corn syrup lightly on the top, & "dipped" them into coloured corn meal. Up close, they really had that "fuzzy"look daisies have.
ooops...my bad!
