I hear you Katy. I would say at least a good portion of the decorating items here in Canada are imported from USA. That adds to the cost. Funny thing is, there not made in the USA, but in China!! And to order online from USA, the delivery, as you say, is too $$. :o)

Thanks Mandy.  I know what you mean - so many times I have tried to find stuff that I've heard about, only to find you can't buy it here.  And then delivery from the US or whatever is more than the cost of the item!

lol Katy with a Y (do hope that is how her name is spelt !) didn't think to check oops

the happy birthday is a stencil, now I need to remember where I bought it from got 3 new ones this week hence the butterfly, sweet treat & flowery thing. I find using colour dust better but only have few colour so when I use gel have to be careful it doesn't run, It's funny how when you see someone elses cakes and you just know they used a instrument to create, you can search high & low to find what they used, then blow me it's from a different country.

Hey Mandy - how do you do that Happy Birthday writing?  I see it a lot on your cupcakes and think it looks really effective.  Please don't tell me you can write like that freehand.............
