catching up with what I have missed, this looks very yum, hasn't been easy using buttercream in this weather has it Katy, (butter out fridge back in out again on cake cake in fridge cake out again, hard work)

Yep - sweltering here too.  Never a happy medium in this country lol.

Yes, we're driving.  I thought about freezing, but only finished it this pm, so it's in the fridge (coldest part) and we'll have AC on in the car.  It's only 3 hours, so we should be OK.  And, yes, we do have AC in our cars, just not in our houses tee hee.

That's very nice of you Katy. Assume your driving. Why don't you freeze the whole cake? It's reg cake with BC, would freeze fine. :o)

A case of no choice June!  Going to my brothers tomorrow and I always take cake as they are kind enough to put us up and feed us :)  No way was I attempting fondant though.  The butter icing was challenging enough.  Got ice packs in the freezer ready to pack the box for transportation tomorrow!

Admire your baking when it's so hot!! Not turning my oven on. Been practicing with 50/50 gumpaste. Absolutely nothing is drying. So no cake fun till weather co-operates!! :o)
