Thank you, Gali.  You are so sweet :o)

I just thought of something!  Your painted cake would have earned an A+ in my art classes!  My birds would earn a D-.

When I was in school in the late 60's, we weren't allowed to do realism - abstract only.  I like abstract art, but have always been better at realism.  I often think, even when making the macaws, my teachers are probably turning in their graves.  I no longer give a hoot what anyone else thinks.  I just do the best I can at whatever I do and let it go at that :o)

beautiful, looks so real. my brother has a masters in art.  some of  my family have degrees in art, my granddaughter is awesome.  your work reminds me of hers. just beautiful. I got into theatrical  art. fine art is not my best, mine is fantasy. I favor doing it.

Yes.  I painted this from a photo a friend of mine sent to me.  It was accepted into a large wildlife show (about 800 entries with 75 being accepted to show) to raise money for the LSU veterinarian program.  It won the people's choice and was selected to be used on the cover of their program for the following year.  I was thrilled to death!
