I think I may attempt these for my daughters 1st grade teacher...very creative and precise, the bar has been set very high, to make them so clean...very nice work!

Thank you ladies for the wonderful comments.   To achieve the smoothest look possible you just need to take your time rolling the cakeball.  I use white dipping chocolate (not candy melts) and color it red.  The leaves and stems are gumpaste.

What did you coat the cake balls with and how did you keep them so perfectly smooth? What did you use for the stem and leaf?  Very nice.
