Sure hope to get the cakes in this challenge. Company coming this weekend plus a Dr. Suess cake needs to be done by Saturday. Lots to do and not enough time to get them done.

Good Morning All ~
This is the first time I have joined any group such as this one. I am a teacher by trade, but a baker by heart. I have just started decorating cakes. So this is a challenge for me. I will not be able to make the Pink cake as I need to prepare for my classroom. However, I will be participating in all other cake designs. I too have four children 25, 22, 18 and 13.
Looking forward to making cakes and new friends. :)

Here's my celebration to PINK... We all know I had a challenge with the cake, now I will always use baking stripes. I made Pink Panther out of gumpaste. I used Angel Hair pasta for the whiskers and attached them with gumpaste glue. A personal challenge for me was not to have to go buy anything to decorate this cake which I didn't do.. Used up all the fondant and gumpaste mixture I had on hand... The best comment was my 8 year old nephew Chivas comment "AWESOME, I love it". And my husband got his piece of cake with coffee this morning....
